We have many events that are just about fun and fellowship, as making connections is important to us. Join us, meet some remarkable women, make connections of your own and have fun!
The Get Acquainted Social (the GAS) kicks off our year in September. All women of the parish are invited to join us for drinks and appetizers to learn about the Women’s Club and the activities in which we are involved. New friends, ideas, and suggestions are always welcome!
Over the past few years, we have held several social evenings at Broken Creek Vineyard and Winery, a family owned, 40-acre vineyard and winery located in Shrewsbury. We enjoy the outdoors, meeting up with new and old friends, and, of course….the wine!
For several years, Bunco has been an extremely well-attended event – a great night of fun! Look for notices about this event, typically offered twice a year. It is a night where many women (members, guests, daughters, mothers, and friends) come together to play a truly simple game. The fun of it is meeting so many people, as two of the four players at each table move after each round. Join us, and bring a friend!!

In February of 2020, a professional florist came to St. Rose and provided us with all the supplies and instructions needed to enable the women gathered to create beautiful floral arrangements which were then distributed to homebound parishioners as well as those living in local assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities. There was joy in the making and blessing in the giving. Hearts were uplifted on Valentine's Day.
Prior to the start of the summer each year, the Women’s Club members celebrate Sunday Mass as one, and then enjoy brunch together. Whether we are in a formal restaurant, or picnicking on the parish grounds, we enjoy our time together, thank each other for all of our efforts, and celebrate our successes of the past year.
On Fat Tuesday 2021, the Women’s Club hosted a Mardi Gras celebration via Zoom.
We were able to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, learn a bit of Mardi Gras trivia, and make some festive masks.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate together before the season of Lent began (exactly what Mardi Gras is intended to be…a last hurrah)!
We did not have King Cake but we did have party bags. Congratulations to Beverly Ann who had the ’baby’ in her bag.
She had extra good luck for the remainder of the year!
