Service is an important part of who we are as a ministry. There are many ways we work together to serve our parish, our community, and our world. We are always looking for service opportunities. Tell us your ideas!
FOR THE NORTHBOROUGH FOOD PANTRY
The Women's Club invited all parishioners to contribute fresh fruit or vegetables to the 80 families serviced by the Northborough Food Pantry. On Palm Sunday, Saint Rose parishioners dropped their contributions off in designated cars in the parking lot and Women's Club members delivered them to the Food Pantry.
The amount of fresh food that was donated was absolutely amazing! The Food Pantry directors and their clients were most appreciative. We hope we made Easter dinner extra special for many!
Our parish is important to us. Each year the Women’s Club holds a bake sale and 50/50 raffle to financially support our parish in whatever way is needed most.
A nonprofit organization, Abby's House provides shelter and affordable housing, as well as advocacy and support services, to homeless, battered, and low-income women, with or without children.
Over the years, they have helped more than 14,000 women and their children reclaim and rebuild their lives, empowering them to lead self-directed lives filled with dignity and hope.
For many years, we provided them with meals once a month. During the pandemic, it was necessary that they hire their own chef.
We have continued to support Abby's House financially and through their annual SpringTactular silent auction.
Both a fellowship and a service event.
In February of 2020, a professional florist came to St. Rose and provided us with all the supplies and instructions needed to enable the women gathered to create beautiful floral arrangements which were then distributed to homebound parishioners as well as those living in local assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities.
There was joy in the making and blessing in the giving. Hearts were uplifted on Valentine's Day.
Responding to the needs of our greater community during the pandemic, we gathered together to make and distribute face masks to those in need. Our mission began with healthcare professionals but we expanded to respond to the needs of many area organizations, as well as individuals in need. As of September 2020, over 3,300 masks were created and distributed to over 34 organizations

We believe that a prayer shawl acts as a healing touch reminding those who are sick, alone, uncertain or afraid that, along with our loving and compassionate God, our faith family is with them - holding them in prayer and lifting them in love.
Since 2005, members of this ministry have been knitting and crocheting prayer shawls and lap blankets for those in need.

Pernet Family Health Service is a major provider of home health care and early intervention to families in the Worcester area. The Women’s Club has been able to assist them by conducting a clothing drive every year since 2008. The contributions from the members of our club have been so generous and so appreciated!
