For the past 12 years, members of our ministry have been knitting and crocheting prayer shawls and lap blankets for those in need.
Prayer shawls are given for many reasons:
We believe that a prayer shawl acts as a healing touch reminding those who are sick, alone, uncertain or afraid that, along with our loving and compassionate God, our faith family is with them - holding them in prayer and lifting them in love.
Prayers of strength, courage and hope are prayed into each shawl, hoping they become a channel of grace for the recipient. In the process, we grow in our relationship with God and with each other.
The prayer shawl ministry meets in room 1 of the Family Life Center at St. Rose of Lima.
Morning group meets: 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, 10:00 - 11:30AM
Evening group meets: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7:00 - 8:30 PM - September thru June
We invite anyone interested in joining this ministry of healing to stop by.

Donations from homebound knitters and crocheters are always welcome.
You knit us together in our mother's womb.
Now you gather us together in this circle of prayer.
O Loving One, join us together in this minisry of healing.
May these shawls be a sign of your loving presence,
mantles of comfort and protection.
O Christ who healed the broken in mind and spirit,
we ask your blessing upon those who will wear these shawls.
Grant them strength when they are weary.
Ease their suffering.
Remind them that they are loved.
Grant them peace.
Amen
