Born in Medellin, Colombia, Fr. Juan atttended Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. He entered into seminary at the Seminario Conciliar de Medellin and then joined the Worcester Diocese, in MA, in 2012.

Fr. Juan studied English at Clark University and completed his seminary traning at St. Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore, Maryland where he received his bachelor's in sacred theology and his masters of Divinity. 

Fr. Juan was an associate pastor of St Mary's Parish in Shrewsbury from 2015-2018. In 2018, he was named pastor of St. Denis in Douglas, MA, and in 2021, became pastor of St. Rose of Lima.
