Catholics believe that Holy Communion is the Body and Blood of Jesus, and is the source and summit of our faith. We normally receive the Body and Blood of Jesus at Mass, but for homebound or sick Catholics, to attend Mass may be out of the question or beyond their physical abilities. That's where the Extraordinary Miisters of Holy Eucharist come in. These volunteers carry the Body of Jesus to parishioners at home, at nursing homes or in the hospital and help nourish the souls of these faithful members of the Body of Christ, connecting them to the faithful and to their faith. The ill and homebound are still part of our community and we want them to know that we still love them!
If you are sick or have a hospitalized or infirmed family member who would like to receive the Body of Christ contact our parish office. We are happy to arrange for regular short term or long term visits depending on the need.
