Classes for students in grades 6, 7 and 8 will meet either Monday or Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM - 7:45 PM. Students will be studying Christian Morality and Prayer. The text we use is Catholic Connections for Middle Schoolers, Second Edition from Saint Mary's Press.
The Kingdom Assignment is an exciting and rewarding program in which the St. Rose of Lima 6th graders will be participating. Each 6th grader will brainstorm about how they may be able to help someone in need, whether locally or globally. The children will be given seed money in the amount of $10 to carry out a charitable act and build God's Kingdom in doing so. The children can also enlist the help of family members and friends with their project. Examples of good deeds include baking goodies for the elderly, collecting gently used children's books and delivering them to a homeless shelter and visiting and bringing gifts to veterans.
